Twin Cities
Jennie & Chuck's Wedding - November 2003

My buddy Jen with her buddy Hannah Some friendships last longer than others. My friendship with Jennie is one built to last a lifetime. We were introduced as co-workers--we actually shared an office--and it was immediately clear that we would be great friends.

When Jennie, now living in the Twin Cities, asked Jeanne and I to attend her wedding to Chuck Kloos, we were eager to make the trip. So, early in November she and I left Matthew with his grandparents , hopped into the Durango, and made the long, chilly ride to Minneapolis.

It was definitely worth the drive. The wedding itself was just great. The ceremony was just about right (not too short, not too long), the food was good, and the reception was warm (no small matter in Minneapolis). During the reception dinner, guests were encouraged to come up and tell stories about how they came to know Chuck and Jennie. It was all very cool, especially when Jennie herself gave her account of their fateful meeting at a New Years Eve party.

We wish Chuck and Jennie the very best in their new lives together!
